What is John Barnes Myofascial Release?
JFB Myofascial Release is a whole body approach for assessment and treatment of structure, focusing on the fascial system.
How is JFB Myofascial Release performed?
JFB Myofascial Release Approach* consists of the hands on gentle application of sustained connection into the body’s fascial system, maintaining the essential “time element” to facilitate the return of viscous flow within the fascia. Each session is performed directly on the skin without oils, creams or machinery. This enables the practitioner to assess accurately restrictions within the fascial system and provide the appropriate technique to encourage release of restricted tissue.
Why is JFB Myofascial Release an effective treatment for pain relief?
Whether your pain is acute or chronic, the use of JFBMFR allows you to be assessed and treated as an individual. Utilizing a whole body approach the practitioner encourages your fascial system to open allowing the body’s natural aligned structure to return. It is our belief all structures of the body lie within the fascial system… to the cellular level.
Is it a good idea for equestrians and their horses to get treated simultaneously?
It is a great idea for horse and rider to be treated. In most cases the horse will be assessed and treated 1-2x prior to beginning treatment with the rider. For best lasting outcomes it is important for the rider to understand the dynamics of their posture and how it effects their horse AND understand their horse’s postural anatomy and how it effects the rider’s.
